Just imagine: Naked people in an empty space. Whereby space is meant as a pure sphere, without boundaries. This is what all films would look like without costumes and sets. There would be no need for this magazine. No thoughts on colors, on the psychology of the characters, on art and clich\u00e9s, bedding and image design, illusions and illustration. Exploiting the potential of production design and costume design means going much deeper, beneath the first layer of the surface. Without understanding the essence of a story, we cannot turn the visible part of a narrative into film images. Our work also has social and political aspects in the way we portray people and the places where they live and move. In this VSK magazine, we invite you to experience how exciting the creation of film images can be. And how rich in surprises, detours and unexpected discoveries. The contributions are as varied in content and expression as the members of our association and their fields of work. We would like to thank all our colleagues who have made this second issue possible with their articles. We hope you enjoy reading it!
